ALCS and Bookbarn International (BBI) are pleased to announce the launch of the Book Author Resale Right - a pilot programme that will compensate authors when their books are sold by the second-hand book retailer - Bookbarn International.

EU Organisations write to European Commission on Private Copying

A number of bodies including the European Writers Council (EWC) wrote to a number of European Commissioners last week, among them Michel Barnier, urging them not to put forward any policies with regards to private copying that would negatively affect the level of remuneration for authors, performers and rightsholders.
