ALCS is a long-time supporter of the hugely successful CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals annual shadowing scheme, in which tens of thousands of children in schools and libraries across the country read the books shortlisted for both Medals, argue with each other over which is the best, post reviews and vote for their own favourites, before the official winners are announced.

The Young Writer's Guide to Shakespeare: The Winners

15/06/2016

shakespeare.jpgALCS and the National Schools Partnership recently teamed up once again to launch the 2015 Young Writer's Guide to Shakespeare, part of ALCS's ongoing work to introduce school students to the issue of copyright. The programme, which ended in March included classroom activities and tips on playwriting, aimed at emphasising to students in upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 (9-13 years) the value of owning their creative work.  This month, we are delighted to announce the winners of the accompanying writing competition.
