Booker shortlist announced

The Man Booker Prize shortlist for 2009 has been announced which includes previous winners JM Coetzee for Summertime and AS Byatt for The Children’s Book.

James Naughtie is Chair of the judging panel, and he is joined by Lucasta Miller, Michael Prodger, John Mullan and Sue Perkins. The winner will be announced on 6^th October at a ceremony in Guildhall, London

Adam Foulds is also on the shortlist for the Quickening Maze, Hilary Mantel for her Wolf Hall, Simon Mawer for The Glass Room and Sarah Waters for The Little Stranger.
