ALCS joins call for a UK Creators Council

ALCS is among nine creative organisations which have signed a letter to the Secretary of State for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport Rt Hon Oliver Dowden MP calling for the formation of a UK Creators' Council.
A UK Creators Council, which would follow the model of the Creative Industries Council, would aim to provide direct representation for UK creators in future policy-making.
Other organisations which signed the letter include the British Equity Collecting Society, Design and Artists Copyright Society, Directors UK, Equity, Musicians Union, Royal Society of Literature, Society of Authors and the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain.
