Tell us how much you love your bookshop
As part of our advocacy work, ALCS wants to highlight how different parts of the writing sector positively affect each other. That's why we want to celebrate bookshops, bookselling, and the culture of books and reading. #LoveMyBookshop
Bookshops are a key part of the writing eco-system because they promote such a diversity of voices to a wide variety of readers. These small businesses are also cultural hubs for local areas, hosting a range of events, such as author Q&As and book clubs. They also play a vital role in improving literacy levels in children.
We want to celebrate bookshops, bookselling, and the culture of books and reading. We want you to tell us what bookshops have meant to you and your career. Maybe you discovered books as a young reader, or maybe they taught you lessons in your craft.
