Nine creative membership organisations submit joint evidence to DCMS committee
After writing to the Government in April 2020, urging them to consider putting together a UK Creators Council, ALCS along with eight other organisations, has submitted joint evidence to the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) committee to demonstrate the strength of feeling about the need for a consultative, member-led group across the cultural and creative industries to inform and assist policy-making beyond the current crisis.
The DCMS inquiry requested submissions from organisations within the creative industries about the immediate impact of the pandemic, the likely long-term impact and how well DCMS has been supporting the creative industries.

We’ve been encouraging ALCS members to write to their MPs about proposed amendments to the Self-employment Income Support Scheme. If you’d like to have your voice heard on this matter, find out more and take part here.
